Trent Harmon

Trent Harmon holds the reigning title as American Idol. The Season XV victor originally hails from East Mississippi and immersed himself in music from an early age. From singing “Amazing Grace” with his family to starring in various musicals in college, Trent credits life on his family’s farm as a major influence on his music career. Less than one week after taking the title during the final season of American Idol, Trent entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, earning him a “hot shot debut” with coronation song “Falling,” which was written by Idol judge Keith Urban along with celebrated songwriters Dallas Davidson and Brett James.

7:00 pm – 7:30 pm
First round of the Miss iHeartMedia Pikes Peak Bike Week Competition. Come cheer on your favorite and enjoy the show.

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Midland

With all the chest-thumping going on in Nashville today, where bluster and swagger have replaced heart and soul, you half expect some of country music’s male stars to be sporting bruises. Which is what makes Midland, a trio of friends based in Dripping Springs, Texas, so undeniably refreshing. Made up of singer Mark Wystrach, lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy, Midland is the embodiment of Seventies California country, all smooth Eagles harmonies and heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics. Their songs are intoxicating country sung with the twang of George Strait. And it’s impossible to resist. Midland — the guys took their name from a Dwight Yoakam song — excel in setting a mood, transporting the listener to another place and time.

8:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Second round of the Miss iHeartMedia Pikes Peak Bike Week Competition. This is bound to get you fired up for your favorite. Cheer them on.

9:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Frankie Ballard

The best music is about connection, that place where words and music allow an artist’s reality to fire real emotion in listeners. And it’s just that connection that has been at the heart of Frankie Ballard’s rise as an artist. “I see people relating to the words of these songs,” he says, “using the lyrics to reflect on their own lives.” Nowhere has that been more evident than in Ballard’s breakthrough #1 hit, “Helluva Life.” Fans are owning every line as they sing it back in concert and use social media to share their own stories of good times and bad, and the way romance puts a shine on all of it. As they sometimes do, the song’s maxim that “bad times make the good times better” has become a rallying cry and a life-affirming motto.

10:30 pm – 11 pm
Crowning of the 2017 iHeartMedia Miss Pikes Peak Bike Week. This is where your cheering on to the judges to make this a memorable experience for our new winner.

Jackyl

It’s been nearly 20 years since Jackyl shot out of Georgia with its wild, untamed and uncouth approach to rock ‘n’ roll. Equal parts hard rock, heavy metal and Southern rock, Jackyl formed in 1991 and brought back rock ‘n’ roll back — back to its down-to-earth, wild, fun-loving origins. Full of spit and swagger — and a “dirty” sense of humor to boot — Jackyl quickly earned a deal with Geffen Records. Jackyl’s live shows were already legendary before the ink dried on the Geffen contract.

Cotton Cares Poker Run

This year Cotton Cares is sponsoring two of my best buds.  They were badly injured in a motorcycle accident May 12.  There are a ton of great charity rides to attend but I encourage everyone to attend this event.  Jim and Ron are great dudes.  Big hearts, kind people, and give the shirt off their backs to help others and now they need a little help.  Both have given money and time to many great causes and we are going to give it back to them in their time of need.  Hope to see many friends and meet new friends.  Cheers and love these guys and their families and friends.
